Hey everyone, Sam here. My biggest asset is not my biceps or my calves, but instead is having a passion for motivating my clients and helping them reach their goals, whether than is being able to walk up the stairs pain free, or learning to Olympic weightlift. Alongside personal training sessions, I offer specialised rehabilitation for anything from sports specific injuries, to solving everyday aches and pains. During these sessions, a range of treatments are used, including massage therapy and mobilisations. I think living pain free should be a goal to us all.

I'm passionate about educating others and passing on my knowledge to help you understand your own body and how you can reduce the chance of injury in the future. I believe encouraging everyone to become well rounded individuals in the gym aids day to day life by using injury avoidance techniques to improve performance and general wellbeing. Together we would start by increasing range of motion, then improving weaknesses and capitalising on strengths. During my time working in several different areas, I have gained extensive knowledge on understanding and diagnosing musculoskeletal injuries. This has allowed me to help many individuals get back to the sport they love, or simply just be able to get out of bed in the morning without making funny noises!

In my own time, I use the gym to better myself - from my perspective, training is not only good for the body, but good for the mind. Alongside this, I thrive in competitive environments and jump at the chance to try new sports and activities that may challenge me. I am a down to earth, approachable guy who revels in the gym with a great sense of humour, bundles of enthusiasm and terrible banter.

EMMA COWELL: SPORTS THERAPIST

I am a BASRaT accredited Graduate Sports Rehabilitator, graduating from St Marys University with a Bachelors degree in 2017. During my time at university I worked in Rugby and Hockey clubs and with Premiership football club Southampton FC. Coming out of university I had the privilege to work with Olympic legend, Dame Kelly Holmes. I also worked within a gym setting for 2 years focusing on implementing injury rehabilitation in a more clinical setting. This gave me an opportunity to help specialist populations such as Stroke, Parkinson’s, elderly and paediatric patients.

From a young age I have always had an interest in injury rehab from competing at national and international levels in Athletics. I seemed to injure myself a lot during these years and therefore have been in and out of physiotherapists clinics, surgical procedures, sports massage treatments, and rehabilitation programmes. I like to see these unfortunate trips as a blessing in disguise because I got an insight into what is really needed to make a full recovery both physically and mentally. This is what gave me the passion and knowledge to help guide you through a tough but rewarding process.
